Retirement is an over hyped thing. Remember, if life is stretched longer, it is only at the end stage. It does not bring back the spring in your step. Health permitting, we can do something we liked to. Travel, meet people etc., If health does not permit, then it is a wasted life.
Financial planners also put the fear of inadequacy. Fill us with fear of inflation and immortality. The fear that our money will run out before we expire. It is important to be rational. Focus on lifestyle spending. Often that is the culprit.
